John, a former senior police commander, has led high‑stakes missions across serious crime, counter‑terrorism, crisis response and VIP protection. Frank complements this with a disciplined security operations pedigree—from his army and police service to international maritime and executive protection roles—bringing tactical wisdom and steadfast leadership.
On the technical front, Steve is a seasoned two‑way radio engineer with over forty years of experience in designing and maintaining Motorola systems across the UK. His deep domain knowledge ensures we bridge strategy and execution seamlessly. Together, their combined strengths—strategic, operational, and technical—underpin Haython’s promise: ethical, experienced, and results‑driven security consultancy.
Senior Management Team
John M
John M is our Director of Strategic Development. He is a former senior police officer with over 10 years’ experience operating at senior command level within a major UK police force.
He has a wealth of strategic and operational policing experience covering many different disciplines including the investigation of serious organised crime and terrorism, Special Branch, tackling street gang crime, specialist firearms and public order command, Intelligence and covert investigations.
He established and led the United Kingdom’s first multi-agency street gangs task force winning praise for his work in reducing gang crime by the UK Government and was subsequently short listed for an International problem solving award by the University of Wisconsin, USA.
He has developed considerable expertise in crisis management, directing and coordinating the strategic and operational response to many high profile critical incidents and events. He was a member of a specialist cadre planning and leading covert firearms operations to tackle unique threats to the UK security and is experienced in commanding VIP protection operations including protecting the Royal family, senior government ministers and visiting Heads of State.
As a nationally qualified Hostage & Crisis Negotiator he has successfully negotiated to safety many people caught up in life threatening situations.
Since leaving policing he has been involved in designing and delivering specialist training in the Middle East and Caribbean in a range of subjects including, Senior leadership development, Counter Terrorism and tacking organized crime.
In the UK has been engaged by the UK Home Office and UK Health Security agency in sensitive security vetted projects.
Frank C
Frank began his working life at the age of 18 when he joined the Royal Regiment of Artillery. He spent 10 years in the Regular Army and served in various locations around the world. He completed two operational tours of duty in Northern Ireland during the troubles in the 1980s, the second one as a rifle section commander. He left the army in 1993 with an exemplary service history and joined Merseyside Police.
During his time as a police officer he served in uniformed patrol, within operational support as a specialist search and public order officer targeting major and organised crime. He performed anti-terrorist duties and as a neighbourhood support officer.
In 2005 he left Merseyside Police as he was selected for an overseas contract in the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service where he served in the Drug Task Force Marine Unit. His duties there involved performing armed marine patrols in the Caribbean ensuring the safety and integrity of Cayman’s territorial waters.
Upon returning to Merseyside Police, he served as a detective in Liverpool and worked, often alone, on investigations into serious crime including murder.
He left the police in 2011 pursuing an opportunity to work as a Maritime Security operative in the Indian Ocean. He served as a Team Leader of armed security teams charged with protecting merchant vessels from pirate attack. He has also worked on various security contracts around the UK.
He also spent time working as a Sober Guardian and Life Coach Mentor to high-net-worth individuals in recovery from addiction, this work took him around the UK and to Africa.
He is now fully engaged as a company director.
Steve E
With over four decades of hands-on experience in the two-way radio industry, Steve E is a highly respected and knowledgeable engineer specialising in Motorola radio communications systems. Having begun his career in the early 1980s, he has played a pivotal role in the design, installation, and maintenance of mission-critical communication networks across the UK.
Throughout his career, he has delivered engineering support and project leadership on a wide range of deployments—from local authority and emergency services systems to complex infrastructure and transport networks. His in-depth understanding of Motorola’s evolving technology—from analogue systems through to the latest digital solutions—makes him a trusted authority in the field.
A practical problem-solver with a meticulous approach to system reliability and performance, he is known not only for his technical expertise but also for his integrity, commitment, and deep understanding of customer needs. His career reflects a long-standing dedication to improving operational communications through robust, future-proof technology.

He has led comprehensive risk and resilience initiatives, overseeing contingency planning, compliance with international standards, and coordination with national security frameworks. With extensive experience managing security for major events and conducting detailed risk audits, he ensures robust protection and operational efficiency. His expertise extends to designing and delivering tailored training programmes, enhancing compliance, and building strong stakeholder relationships to drive organisational success.
